Colonial-grid double-hung
A two-storey colonial with tired, drafty windows needed replacements that kept its traditional look. We fitted oversized double-hung units with matched colonial grilles, working off ladders and planks to reach the upper gable — every opening measured, shimmed, and sealed the same day it was opened.

The existing windows had lost their seals and were letting in drafts and street noise. We removed each unit down to the frame, inspected the openings for rot, and fitted new double-hung windows glazed with low-E glass and an argon-filled cavity.
Colonial grille patterns were matched to the home’s original divided-lite look, so the upgrade reads as restoration rather than replacement. Inside, the dining room was fully draped before work began and left spotless afterward.
